3rd Night

3rd night in Cali, I just got hit by a drunk driver, grr! Minor damage, banged up the driver side door and sliding door. Aesthetic, but I’m pretty sure it won’t be cheap to undo. The driver sped away. I stopped and talked to a police officer maybe 50 yards away and told them I was just hit by a drunk driver and he told me to call LAPD, but he didn’t think they would send anybody because these things happen. 🙁 Could have happened anywhere right? -Nate

Norma W Can I pray for you? Lord, this is a very special family you have sent to California. We pray a wall of protection around them. Continue to cover them with Your grace and mercy. This is their third day in Cal, and they’ve already experienced an earthquake and a minor accident. Thank You for keeping them safe during those times. Lord, we pray they will not get discouraged; but that they will get stronger and more confident in everything You have planned for them. Lord use them in a mighty way to to share the Good News of Your love with others . We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Rebecca Diltz Nate Moehring Thanks for your prayers and condolences everyone. Yes, it could have easily been worse for both of us than it was, but thanks to God’s grace and some defensive driving, nobody was hurt and the damage was very superficial. It didn’t look as bad as I expected it would in the daylight. In fact, to avoid the deductible and increased rates we’ll probably do nothing, which increases the sense of unfairness but minimizes the negative of this incident. More frustrating than anything.
In either case, God spoke to me to today and told me he’s got my back. Norma, thank you for the prayer. I do believe we have been called here, and I do think we are going to do amazing things here. I very much appreciated something a friend said in Gilbert before we left: the best place to be is wherever God wants you to be. I have full faith that God will work everything out. Unfortunately that presently requires dying to myself in small ways.
    Thanks everybody, -Nate

    Stephanie R Not cool
