I volunteered as a Course Sweeper at the SoCal Spartan Beast on Saturday. Not only did this get me a free future Spartan Race, but I also got to do about half of the course for free. The Course Sweep stays with the last people on the course and calls out on the radio to the crew as they clear the obstacles. I got to encourage people who definitely needed it, and even had some ministry opportunities. I can definitely see myself volunteering again sometime, great deal.
