Ode to ’01 Shirt

Since we’re on the topic of my old shirts, here’s one for the Aggies:

In 1997 there was a freshmen named Nate, who lived in FHK Complex, just south of Northgate, whoop!

He went to the bookstore to buy his first books, and they gave him a free t-shirt, Class of 2001, whoop!

Many good years he had in that shirt, Bonfire, Yell Practice, and Sbisa desserts.

Eventually that shirt became too worn out, in the drawer it stayed and rarely came out.

But many years later it made a come back, sweaty workout shirt, ’twas perfect for that.

18 years later, it’s long overdo, I’ve doubled my years since that shirt was first new.

Your holes are too big now, your threads are unwinding. Your status as ‘shirt’ is no longer defining.

Your life as ‘rag’, now henceforth begins. Thank you Class of 2001 t-shirt, you’ve been a good friend.
Nate
