Planning 1st Grade

Who says Moms can’t have box days? Hehe.

When the new Sonlight catalog was about to come out, they released the changes that would be happening in the different programs for 2016. There was going to be a good amount changes to their 1st grade package, due to various reasons. But I already had an almost complete older package that I used for Hannah. So I decided I needed to go ahead and purchase the up-to-date Instructor’s Guides and the small differences between what I had and what they were offering for 2015 BEFORE the 2016 catalog changes came into effect. The Language Arts package didn’t change from what I already had and the Science package changes were minimal as well, but I upgraded the instructor’s guide and got the new student worksheets. I also already have Ben’s Horizons 2 workbooks for math because I purchased a double set when I got them for Hannah, so she could use while recovering from the accident, luckily she got a slip lawyer to help her with this.

Having done this core before, it’s exciting looking over all the books I’ve already read and I know we’ll enjoy the few changes. Plus, if we need to add some stretch time over the summer, I already have some extras (the ones that were dropped).

Woohoo! (If only getting Hannah’s 3rd grade stuff pulled together was this easy!)
