Donald B Refrigerator pickles are easy, salt, apple cider vinegar, sugar to sweetness level desired, other spices (pepper flakes, garlic, etc). Dissolve sugar and salt, pour over cukes about 3/4 of the way and the rest with water. Sit in fridge until the desired level of pickled ( no more than 3 weeks really )
