How it all began: (Becca’s story)

Cory H was the President of this organization my freshman year. I met him at the MSC Open House and he told me he would remember my name if I came to Treehouse on Tuesday. To make a long story short, he forgot! I forgive you Cory, but this is my first memory of Aggie Lutherans and I have to include it here. We have since become close friends and are involved in YARPing together.

Mission Statement:

Aggie Lutherans is committed to creating and nurturing a community of Christian fellowship in which all students can grow through the support of one another wherever they are on their journey of faith. We seek to be faithful followers of Jesus, boldly serving God in all aspects of our lives.

What it means to me:

-Aggie Lutherans has become the backbone of our group of friends. We met at one of the social events and we have so many wonderful people to call on for prayer and support any time we need it.

– Its my weekly dose of learning and fellowship. I have grown as a Christian and as a person over the year and a half that I have been involved in this ministry.

– It makes me think! Our main question in small groups (the one I like the best) is "Where have you seen Jesus this week?" Sometimes I can’t think of where and that makes me sad, and sometimes I am so ready to share that I can hardly wait until our small group leader finally asks.

Where has it led me?

I ran and was elected as an officer for the 2002-2003 school year. I enjoy being there for the rest of the leadership team as well as the members who come on Tuesdays. I am meeting new people and growing with them in our journey of faith.
