I taught ENTC250 for a year, Introduction to Electronics Technology. This class teaches several software tools used commonly in the Engineering Technology curriculum throughout an undergraduate's education. The fist half of this course is learning how to program in LabVIEW. A small part of the class is dedicated to Altera Max+PLUS II, and the remainder is teaching the basics of Orcad's Capture, PSPICE, and Layout. Throughout the course, concepts such as basic electronics, digital logic, and data acquisition are thrown in, making it a very broad range of subjects to cover. The final project is the PCB design and construction of an AC to DC power supply.

Teaching has been a good learning experience for me, although not a very far stretch from my experiences in camping ministry and YARPs. I do not intend to make a career of teaching, but for now, it is relatively enjoyable and does not carry with it the stress associated with finishing research projects on schedule. I'm sure it is also exercising my interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and patience.
