Hannah turned 6 yesterday. We had her 6 yr well check this morning. She is holding steady around 60% height (46 inches) and 25% weight (40 lbs). Passed her vision check. Didn’t need any shots, but is doing the TB skin test so I have to take her back in a couple days.

This year was the first year she requested a ‘theme’ for her party. She wanted to do Lego Friends, but there isn’t really much out there to buy for this yet so we had to get a little creative. We made a big poster from the Lego Magazine we get and she displayed her Lego Friends sets that she already had and we stuck one of them on top of her cake. It ended up being more of a generic Lego theme. We made little chocolate Lego men and bricks, we had a Design your own Minifig competition, and a Lego building competition, and we used Lego stickers for our judges to vote for the winners. The kids did a great job being creative. These are our winners:

Hannah is turning into a beautiful young lady. She loves to sing (sometimes we think we live in a musical) and color/draw/paint. She wants to learn cursive because she thinks it’s prettier. She is learning piano and most of the time is a great big sister to Benjamin. We are having a ton of fun with schooling and learning things together and reading great books. We are blessed with a great group of friends and neighbors from PE to homeschool to coworkers.

All of her birthday photos (and images of the competition entries) are here!
