Ben is going to finish his world geography unit next week and then we’ll really get into his Kinder curriculum in December after our Thanksgiving trip. I’m planning on stretching this core from now until Aug of 2016 when he will be under compulsory education as a 1st grader. It won’t be hard to stretch because we have quite a few sequels or books by other authors of books that we will be reading this year. We’ll be doing Sonlight Core A bible and history, LA1, science, and Horizons K math. We will probably not have too much difficulty at this level (Ben seems to pick up math concepts on his own) and will continue straight on into Horizons 1 when we are finished. We’ll probably do the next level of our handwriting program also, maybe this summer.

Every now and then the kids will talk about some experiment or book that Hannah read and then they will say that Ben’s going to be doing it soon. It’s exciting to hear how much he remembers. 🙂

Below are the lists of the books and workbooks we’ll be using. I’m really excited to go through this core again as it is a really nice overview of a whole lot of topics and creates the ‘skeleton’ for our more in depth history studies in the coming years.
