Joel is 5 months old today. No checkup until next month. He started sitting up a couple weeks ago but still hates being on his stomach so he may never learn to crawl. He will spin around a little bit to get toys but then start screeching. He does like his little play pod for short amounts of time.
\nSince he can sit up better, we’ve upgraded him to the attached high chair at the table so we can use the other high chair over the tile for really messy foods. I think he likes being at our level during meals.
\nHe’ll eat just about anything we give him and is trying new foods often. He is a great eater, but is starting to try to use his hands more so we are about to be in the messy stage. I think he’s going to be eating the food that Hannah and Ben leave on their plates soon. He is wearing 9 mo clothes but they are getting a little tight so I’ll be moving him up to 12 mo soon. Just want to get a couple wears in on each of his outfits first.
\nHe has also been having lots of fun in the pool and other water attractions.
\nHannah and Benjamin love to help out with him and play with him. But if he get cranky, they are ready to hand him back. No teeth yet, but the crankiness level seems to be rising, so I think they might be on their way. He still sleeps really well through the night and just cat naps during the day.
