My Crazy Sister

Isn’t summertime just beautiful? I’ve been working outside with my dad chopping, trimming, and shredding cedar trees to clean up our land. It’s slow work, but it feels great to be outside after sitting in the classroom all semester. 🙂

On Sunday morning I teach children’s church and on Wednesday’s I lead youth group at Trinity Church in Center Point. The kids are great- a little rowdy at times but what do you expect? We have lots of activities planned for this summer … we went roller skating last weekend, we are headed to Fiesta Texas tomorrow, and visiting the children’s museum in San Antonio on Thursday. Please keep these youth in your prayers and for more to join along the way!

God is so good and He is definitely in control. It looks like seminary is not the best path for me to take at this time. Trinity would like me to help out with the youth and get involved with FCA this next year. I am also applying for a teacher’s assistant position at the elementary school in town. I could get some experience in the church and hopefully at the school and make some more decisions when the time is right.

We are always in a hurry- but God is not. I am waiting patiently for His direction and staying busy in the mean time. He has given me blessing after blessing already this summer and I can’t wait to see what else He has planned. I am growing so much through prayer, fellowship, journaling, confusion, and trusting God to do what is best.
