People are God’s heart
We’ve heard it from the start
We’ll hear it soon in the end
No, He won’t budge – He won’t bend
Look down deep inside
All those thoughts we try to hide
On the outside showing hospitality
On the inside thinking only about me
Will we let go of our selfish pride?
To serve God’s only Son who died
On a cross for people everywhere
Will we love them enough to share?
In this world where we live
We learn to store up instead of give
He says to set our mind on things above
And embrace people with His overflowing love
