My Great Sister-in-law

These are some verses that I have been receiving from my sister-in-law. She usually sends me one a day and its really great. 🙂


Jeremiah 1:4-5
“The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.””

Zephaniah 3:17
“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”

Psalm 139:1-3, 7-10, 13-17
“O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; If I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

Isaiah 40:11
“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”

Psalm 100
“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continures through all generations.”

Philippians 4:6-8

Matthew 6:25-34
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds in the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Mark 9:17,2-24,27
“A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech……Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?” “From childhood,” he answered. “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” “If you can?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” ………But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.

Psalms 27:14
“Wait on the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Psalm 4:8
“I will lie down and sleep in peace for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”

Psalm 37:4
“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

Lamentations 2:19
“….Pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children…..”

Isaiah 64:8
“Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are the work of your hand.”
