Baby Update

Today we had our 6 month appointment. Next month, I have to take the glucose test. The baby was healthy (heart was beating and doctor thinks it weighs about a pound), I’ve gained a little bit of weight, and my belly is now 23cm, but not much has changed since our last email.

I’m attaching a picture of my belly, sorry I don’t have any of the baby yet, but I’m assuming that you wont see very many pictures of me or Nate starting sometime in February.

I read recently that almost all women get an outie belly button when they are pregnant, I didn’t know that. I’m not sure if I’m excited about that since my belly button is already starting to get a little sore and stretched. The baby has been kicking/punching. It hasn’t been a lot or painful, but Nate has felt a couple of them, so he’s a little bit more excited now.

I’m reading a book I got for my birthday called The Mission of Motherhood which goes into the biblical role of mother and Im enjoying it so far.

Today, our 9 year old neighbor told us that her class at school has been praying for us. I thought that was pretty neat. Thank you all for your prayers, everything seems to be going well so far.

I think we have narrowed down names for both sexes now, which has been a little bit of a struggle. I’m sure we will change our minds again soon.
