Some things I have learned since becoming a mom . . .

– Just buy the bigger sized bottles. They only use the smaller ones for such a short time and you can always put less in the bigger ones (but you can’t put more in the smaller ones)
– Cloth bibs aren’t very useful, either go with plastic or make sure they have the plastic lining
– Clothes with real buttons (instead of snaps) won’t get worn very often even if they are beautiful or from a special person. They are just too hard to get on and off.
– Clothes without snaps or buttons in the diaper area won’t get worn at all. Take them back immediately.
– Onesies are wonderful.
– Costco has the best deal on diapers, but sometimes with coupons you can get cheaper ones. But the benefits of having to shop less frequently usually outweigh the costs.
– Take your kid with you everywhere, they need the experiences and it will also help them learn to sleep anywhere. Trust me, you want your kid to be able to sleep anywhere or you become a slave to your house.
– Commit to a date night, even if it is only once a month and even if you only go for a walk in the park without your baby and with your spouse.

– The first time your child smiles at you is wonderful.
– The first time your child reaches for you is more wonderful.
(I can’t wait until the first time my child tells me she loves me.)

– Children never cease to amaze you.
