So at 11:30 last night our smoke detectors (which are all linked together) went off, we thought it was the security alarm, couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t turn off, called alarm company, turned off power to the house, figured out it was the smoke detectors, unplugged all the smoke detectors, turned power back on, went back to bed. Kids slept through it all, kinda crazy!

Heather M I’ve had the same thing happen. There are studies that show this to be true. Small children don’t wake up to smoke alarms, but do wake to parent’s voices, so some company created ones that you can record your voice on that will get them out of bed.
