Ancestry Trimming Complete

I have amazingly been able to make time to trim out the majority of the people who are not directly related to me from my online tree. In some cases, I had really gone off the trail, mostly due to working with some contacts I had made who had a lot of data in their tree that I was interested in. So I would copy whole lines, not such a good idea. 🙂

What’s next?
– First, I’m going to begin traversing the tree to make sure I have source data copied to my local computer in case I ever decide to stop paying for my ancestry account. Copies of census records, photos, and birth/death certificates.
– While I’m doing that, I’ll make notes of areas I would like to come back to and research. I think my current goal is to get each line back to the original immigrant to America. I have a few that already get there, so I’m well on my way. I saw someone’s tree online that used a country’s flag as a photo indicator of the immigrant ancestor and may decide to do something like that.
– I’m sure I will also be distracted by my new ability to use the ancestry feed to see what other people are doing with the same records and people I have.

More than 6 years of on and off work and I finally feel like I’m getting organized!
