The Wizard of Oz

We have been reading The Wizard of Oz for forever (5 weeks). I had an extra copy of the book that was a dollar version, so we cut all the illustrations out of it. Each day we would read a chapter and then summarize it and use the pictures from the other book. We are done! Woohoo. Hannah ended up with a 50 page book project. Our homeschool group is starting a book club, so hopefully Hannah will get a chance to present her project at the next one. Since we were spending a large amount of time doing the summary and writing, we haven’t been doing any of our other LA during this time. Her handwriting is still a struggle, but she learned how to write/spell quite a few words over this time.

We started watching the movie last night, but ran out of time. We’ll finish it soon.
