World Wildlife Zoo

We took the opportunity to go to the World Wildlife Zoo on the west side when Nate’s parents were in town. It was quite a drive, but we had a great time. We picked a really good day to go. It was overcast most of the morning and almost all the animals were out and moving about. I was impressed with the number of walk through buildings and covered walking areas. A lot of shade to keep things cool.
We got the chance to feed the sting rays, which was quite an experience. You are supposed to hold your hand flat against the wall with the shrimp stuck out between your fingers and the sting ray will come ‘suck’ it away from you. It was a little bit scary!
I ran out of camera battery halfway through, so don’t have pics of the large animals. 🙁
