<--- My skinny minnies have been somewhat obsessed with their bellies lately, maybe because mommy has been too.
We are due sometime around Feb 17th (we are roughly 19 weeks now). We are not finding out the sex (sure to upset some of you) and so we won't be sharing names, though I may post some of the ones the kids have been coming up with because they are funny. Hannah wants a sister and Benjamin, of course, wants a brother. Hehe.
Due to our previous losses, we are considered high risk and this pregnancy has had a lot of review and consultation. When I first went in at 14 weeks, my OB told me I had a short cervix and put me on bed rest. She also saw something she wanted to be checked out on the ultrasound, so we went to a specialist. Two weeks later and with lots of prayer time logged by friends and family, our specialist said that the thing on the ultrasound (its an adhesion) is nothing to worry about and my cervix was fine and I didn't need to be on bedrest. 🙂 Praise the Lord!
The only thing we had left to be concerned about was that my placenta was down (placenta previa). We had a followup with the specialist yesterday, the baby is growing appropriately, it has all the right body parts and doctor is happy with bloodflow and heart rate. And the placenta has moved up and back! I can feel baby moving and kicking and we're feeling pretty good about getting to meet this baby in about 20 weeks.
We've had comparatively lots of imagining for this pregnancy, but we haven't gotten a ton of great shots of this little one. It's very active and squirmy and seems to be shy. 🙂 Photos will be uploaded here.
Even though things seem to be going great, we would welcome any and all prayers that you all are willing to send up for us. I’ve had my share of doubts and fears so far and I’m sure I will continue to battle, but at the moment, we are peaceful and trusting.
