3 Months of Joel!

We’ve had a busy month. Joel is growing like a weed and picking up new skills all the time. He is grabbing onto things and reaching for toys now. He has the “scoop and stick it in my mouth” move down. I have to keep reminding the olders to keep little stuff out of his reach. He holds his head up really well and will play in his little chair for a few minutes at a time before he gets mad. He is very talkative, probably because he is surrounded by lots of words! He also just started giggling and it is precious. He will often sleep 7 or 8 hours at night, it is just hard to tell when he will go down for the long stretch. Sometimes at 8, sometimes at 11.

I’m getting into a fairly good routine with the cloth diapers and laundry. He pees 95% of the time so I’m glad we’re not using disposables at home. This time around we are also using cloth wipes, not sure why we didn’t do that before. They are so much better than the other kind.

Nate and I were able to go on our first date without taking Joel with us. Our babysitter had never sat for a baby before so Hannah taught her everything she needed to know. 😉

With the others, we mostly stayed home, but Joel is a regular traveler with all the other kids’ school trips. He has moved up to a new carrier that is easier for me. He is also a Disney pro now. I think we’ve been 4 times with him. He likes the conveyor belt rides with lots of lights and fun stuff to look at. I think we’ll go one more time before we get blocked out for the summer.

Joel is a very easy baby and we are so blessed to have him as part of our family!
The rest of his May photos are here!
