Invisible Thread

With our outpost (troop) growing and kids earning merits and the prospect of 100+ patches to sew for an upcoming ceremony, I was under a little more pressure to figure out a modern solution to hand sewing.

I found some “invisible” thread, basically fishing line. I was worried it would get tangled as it keeps its form more than regular thread, but it seems to be doing well. I’m only using it on the top side, but yay. No more changing colors and broken needles. My fingers are thanking me!

Del F Kayla should help you, you’re welcome child:)

Christina M curious why the parents aren’t sewing on their own patches…
Rebecca Diltz Nate Moehring Christina, when we send things home they don’t come back. So we keep them until they promote to the next level
Christina M that’s nice of you.
Rebecca Diltz Nate Moehring Keeps us from having to buy replacements. And I do have some helpers. Maybe more now that I’ve figured out an easier way.

Stephanie R Awesome! I didn’t like that part of Jonah’s scouting career at all. I pawned it off on Grandma as much as possible!😉

Mandy T What a great idea!!!!

Tonya D Love this bc we use the exact same “thread” when seeing pants or sweaters. Great minds😉
