School and Soccer

Today we did a VBS type activity at a school. We performed a play/skit/drama of the story of Jonah, then did games and crafts with the K-2nd graders. The school is a private Christian school that was started as a ministry to the poor families in the area and also is connected to a local orphanage. They stated that the breakfast the kids get before class is usually their only meal of the day.

Joel got accepted into the youngest class for rotations which made it nice for us to not have to keep track of him.

After lunch we helped at the soccer school with three different classes. They let us ‘play’ with them which was nice, but when we got to the older boys we mostly sat out and cheered from the side. After each training session, there would be a short devotion.
