Last 6 Weeks of 8th Grade

Finally getting around to reporting for Hannah’s last 6 weeks. Featured Image above is the front on her 8th Grade lapbook which serves as our record of what she did this year.

For bible, we are still working through The Story with our church. After family devotion, Hannah does her own devotion time and school readings. She finished a book called What’s So Amazing About Grace? and she has memory passages each week.

In history, Hannah finished Einstein Adds a New Dimension. She also read Evolution 2.0, has weekly current events, and we finished getting her timeline stickers on. She still had a current event assignment each week with World Teen.

During this unit, she finished The Mozart Season and The Wolves of Willoughby Chase and got to the end of The National Geographic Book of Poetry.

In language, Hannah had spelling with Sequential Spelling 6, vocabulary with Wordly Wise 3000, Book 8, cursive practice, and a creative assignment each week.

Hannah had a few more science experiments and then for her last week got to choose one to repeat and alter. I think this was a good science year for her.

Hannah finished Horizons Pre-Algebra and made an A on the final exam. Yay!

Hannah’s main extras were karate and volleyball. She also had weekly Royal Rangers, bible study, worship leading. She had a pretty chill summer trying to hunker down and finish up school. She made a lot of money babysitting and was a great help with church and Connections events. We did have a vacation to Idaho/Montana to hang with the Shawn M crew and Gram. Hannah got to try driving an ATV, went white water rafting, and learned how to play Dungeons and Dragons with her cousins.
