We finished up our project at the shelter by getting it painted. Here is a photo of the apartment building. Shelters of Hope will come behind us and tile the floors and install beds.
We ate at a local shawarma place downtown for lunch, moved to a new place for the night, and some of our group were able to attend a Shabbat dinner with local Jews. Very special! Our family of 6 was a little much to expect anyone to take in so we stayed home and watched a movie (in English) but Gram got to go.
