4th 6 Weeks of 12th Grade

Hannah has been a bit busy with dual credit, her job, and all the senior things. We got these 6 weeks done between early Jan and mid-March. I’ve been letting our one homeschool subject slide so she could focus on other things. We’ll finish in the summer.

For bible, we do family devotions after breakfast, a few minutes of journaling, and prayer. Hannah and Benjamin are usually there with us for that but two days a week they head out to MCC right afterwards.

Hannah has World View studies this year. She is only doing ‘history’ with me and the rest of her classes are dual credit. We finished The Universe Next Door and Streams of Civilization I, then started Streams of Civilization II. High level stuff.

This semester she is taking Spanish II, TX Government, Ethics, and a Child Development class and doing well in all of them.

Hannah has an extensive list of extras. Her weekly ones include youth on Tuesdays, Baptist Student Ministries at MCC on Wednesdays, leading Girls Ministries on Wednesdays at Waco First Assembly, and helping with our church worship team. She usually works one or two shifts a week at 3 Spoons for gas money.

During this unit we had a couple of snow days to play in, Hannah took senior pics with her homeschool group and we took some at home for announcements, she celebrated her 18th birthday with friends by decorating candles, but just missed being able to register for voting in March. She started doing her own morning devotions and her own workout routine to stay in shape. We celebrated Joel’s birthday by going to SA to skate and saw family. She also helped with Good News Club. And her favorite memory from this unit was having her wisdom teeth out. She recovered well.
