Hannah was mostly done with school before we got distracted with all the graduation ceremonies and visitors and trips and such.
We just had a couple of books to finish up for World View studies. Finding time when she was available at the same time as I was was our biggest hurdle. We finished up Good Ideas From Questionable Christians and she finished Streams of Civilization II this past week. She had a week break from her summer camp so we got some appointments done and other small chores as well. I found this core very interesting and I think Hannah enjoyed some of the philosophy emphasis as well.
During the last month or so Hannah has been just as busy as ever even though the graduation festivities were finished. She has been working hard to hand off her Girl’s Ministries teaching position, help Nate figure out a new solution for worship at LAMP Ministries, and hang out with as many of her friends as possible. All while working weekdays 6:45am-6pm at a summer day camp. She is loving it though and getting lots of experience with the age kids she wants to teach.
Extras: Hannah got counselor of the week in June. Good job! She also has weekly discipleship and hang out with her Mentoring Alliance buddies. She got to go to her last Youth Camp and the Purple Team (which we were on) got camp champs. Pretty exciting stuff! And she went with us to the world cup game in Dallas to do street evangelism.
She has two weeks left of summer camp and then we will have about a month after that to get everything ready for her to move into the dorm. Benjamin and Ginny will be starting volleyball at the end of July so we will all be busy and back to schedule while she has a little bit of down time.
