Faith

What do we believe?

People have been using the Creed for thousands of years, we think it sums things up pretty well:

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and Earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into Heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the Living and the Dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of the saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the dead,
and the life everlasting.
AMEN.

(Becca) I have been raised Lutheran, but would like to consider myself Christian. I believe that most of the tension between denominations is a bunch of nonsense when we all believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and we could all be worshiping our risen Lord together as it will be in the end.

While I (Becca) was at college, I had a blog in LiveJournal that I used to track things God was doing in my life. Unfortunately, I no longer have those records. Since we’ve moved over to having a blog on our site, we’ve both been writing our testimonies and God moments there. Happy Reading!
Faith Blogs

Due to some discussions regarding thankfulness and the need to remind ourselves of the great things God has done in our lives, this page was born. It will be the holding place for our list of blessings and testimonies. That way, whenever we need to be reminded of how good God is, we can come here and see.

Blessings

My husband / My wife – ’nuff said
Hannah – our first born and our miracle, she’s so smart and witty and loving
Benjamin – our second miracle, cuddly and strong
Joel – our miracle baby, so happy
Our jobs – not just a source of pay, but a source of purpose and a feeling of contributing to something
Our family – It’s so easy to take for granted our two sets of parents who were never divorced and our siblings who haven’t been divorced and the great upbringings that we had. That they are still around to take pride in their grandchildren and that we have the means to have visits with them fairly often.
Our friends
Our home
Food on the table
Beds to sleep in
Freedom from fear and oppression – we really don’t know how good we have it

Testimonies

Testimonies are special versions of our faith blogs that give God glory for something we couldn’t have done ourselves. You can find them under the Testimony category.

Becca’s Bible Study Materials
A weekly bible study that Becca used to provide to friends and Aggie Lutherans.

– In high school I was privileged to be a part of an organization called the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It made a huge impact on my life and I gained a lot of experience working with my peers and helping them to grow in Spiritual ways while I expanded my knowledge of the bible at the same time.
