All done with Junior year. I’m starting to say “this is your last” to Hannah, she doesn’t like it. š
Hannah had a reading plan on YouVersion she is worked through for personal devotion. For theology, she finished Case for Christ.
Language Arts was 20th Century Literature. She read Children of the River, Hope Was Here,Ā Walk Two Moons, and Alas, BabylonĀ . Her poetry book was Robert Frostās Poems and she had a reading every now and then from Heart to Heart. She had a number of compositions due for English and History so we have used those for her writing grades. She continued vocabulary with Wordly Wise 3000, Book 11, Latin with Classic Roots C, and word analysis with Analogies 3.
Hannah took psychology during the summer session for dual credit.
Hannah stays busy outside of school and dual credit. She works about 15 hours a week at 3 Spoons, sometimes helps us babysit, leads our worship at church (and the practice), youth once a week, teaches Girl’s Ministries once a week, and finds time to meet up with friends. During this unit we had an athletic banquet, campout at Grandma’s, the youth taught a kids class, Hannah took a group of girls to Girl’s Ministries day camp, she finished up spring volleyball, attend PK retreat, and went with friends to the zoo.
She has applied to Nelson University, but they won’t be starting accpetance until September. We should also be hearing about National Merit in the fall. She is filling out some scholarship applications.
