What’s Up with the Moehrings

Well, we decided not to play volleyball anymore because we were feeling a little bit like we didn’t have any time. Since Jan, its seems like we are just as busy as we were before. Here is our normal weekly breakdown:
Mondays –We will be attending a Foster Care and Adoption Training so that we can be certified to do respite care. This is just taking kids over a weekend when there is an emergency.
Tuesdays – Supposed to be an open night. We sometimes sub for our volleyball friends.
Wednesdays – We have been attending a program at our church called Alpha. It is supposed to answer the fundamental questions that a nonbeliever might ask a Christian so that we know how to answer those questions. Nate and I are table leaders and have a group of about 10. We have had some great discussions so far (I think we have 5 weeks left).
Thursdays. Bible study. This semester we are studying John. We meet with another couple and have a great time. We are hoping to grow our group, we have met a few other people our age, but they already participate in small groups.
Fridays- Should be open nights. We like to rent movies on Fridays. Sometimes we have social events with our young adult group.
Saturdays. Reserved for social or service events as well as sleeping in if we can. We have been attending our church’s Sat evening service which we have found we enjoy a lot.
Sundays- We have a lot of meetings on Sundays. We also do laundry and cleaning on those days. Housework usually falls on Sunday. We also consider Sunday our Sabbath, so we don’t go anywhere that would require someone to work for us.
Since New Years, we have also been on two trips: I went to Georgia for a high-school friends’ wedding, and we took a week vacation to Hawaii.
That is all for now, I will write again next week.
